Unlock Your Visual Narrative: A Storytelling Workshop in the Heart of Campania with Elizabeth Brown Eagle; June 13-20, 2026
This immersive workshop will encourage artists, writers, and curious travelers to develop their ability to communicate through visual narratives.
Master the Art of the Visual Diary
Our workshop is built around three core pillars—photography, mixed media, and writing—to give you a comprehensive repertoire for creative expression. You will receive expert instruction in photographic techniques and mixed media applications, all while developing the foundational skill of mindful observation. Each participant will utilize a dedicated mixed media sketchbook daily to record, explore/expand and synthesize their experiences. Learn to purposefully and meaningfully engage with your surroundings, turning simple sight into profound insight.
Your Canvas: The Breathtaking Campania Region
Benvenuto! We’ll be based at a beautiful country villa in Melizzano, Italy, the perfect sanctuary for creative exploration. Melizzano is located just 35 miles northeast of Naples, nestled within the majestic Taburno Nature Preserve. This tranquil, picturesque setting—surrounded by rolling vineyards, ancient olive groves, and breathtaking mountain views—provides an unparalleled source of inspiration for your visual diary.
In this historic heart of Southern Italy, you will:
• Archive History: Explore and document centuries-old villages, capturing the texture and timeless beauty of structures that have stood for generations.
• Capture Connection: Engage in personal and respectful portraiture, forging meaningful connections with locals through a collaborative lens as they share their personal histories.
• Embrace Beauty: Immortalize the vibrant, natural landscapes that define the spectacular mountain views, rolling valleys, and tranquil heart of the Campania region.
You will leave this workshop not just with stunning images, but with a cohesive, curated Visual Diary—a true legacy of your time and a permanent enhancement of your creative voice. The workshop culminates in a celebratory exhibition of your work.
